“Children in the Fire” premieres in Ukraine at Odesa International Film Festival

Odesa, Ukraine - October 2025: The Odesa International Film Festival is proud to host the Ukrainian Gala premiere and a first screening in Ukraine of Children In The Fire, the latest documentary from acclaimed director, Evgeny Afineevsky, whose visionary and fearless filmmaking continues to shed light on humanities most urgent stories.

Children In The Fire is an emotionally powerful and visually compelling documentary that offers intimate insight into the lives of young Ukrainian survivors of the 2022 Russian invasion. Told almost entirely through the voices of children and teenagers who witnessed immense atrocities.
