Chiefs, AmaZulu play to entertaining draw
Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu shared the spoils on Tuesday night, playing to a 2-2 draw at the FNB Stadium.
Chiefs opened the scoring in the 18th minute as Ramahlwe Mphahlele turned the ball into his own net in a tussle with Tashreeq Morris following a cross from the right-hand side of the field by Reeve Frosler.
AmaZulu hit back just five minutes later with their only shot of the first half as Tshepang Moremi latched onto Rowan Human's through ball to fire home.
AmaZulu took the lead in the 60th minute after Elmo Kambindu headed home following a set piece. Chiefs, however, equalised three minutes later after Richard Ofori in the AmaZulu goal couldn't stop a Makabi Lilepo header as he bundled the ball into his own net.
While both sides had chances to break the deadlock, the match ended all-square as Chiefs remain in fifth on the PSL log, while AmaZulu move up to seventh.
In Tuesday's other fixtures, Richards Bay beat Marumo Gallants 2-1, while Magesi FC and Chippa United were locked at 1-1 when play was called off due to a power outage.
