Chido Obi magic, Leny Yoro clue and selection hints - five things spotted in Man United training

Manchester United trained at Carrington on Wednesday as they continued their preparations for next week's Europa League final against Tottenham.

Although United face Chelsea in the Premier League on Friday, they held their pre-final media day two days before the Stamford Bridge clash, which meant a longer open training session.

The media got to see around 45 minutes of the session, with numerous TV cameras and photographers in attendance as plans for next week's showpiece stepped up.

The MEN was in attendance at Carrington and this is what we picked up from the session:

Obi's moment

When 17-year-old striker Chido Obi received a difficult pass to deal with during a rondo game in the session, Rasmus Hojlund pounced on him and went in for the kill.

Hojlund might have fancied his chances of laying down a marker on a teenage striker trying to compete for his place, but Obi pulled off an audacious backheel flick to send the ball through Hojlund's legs and keep the run of passes going.

It was a moment of high skill and was loved by the players in that group. Hojlund saw the funny side. It was also a reminder that Obi, for all that he has struggled in his first-team appearances so far, has plenty of talent.

Yoro clues

The absence of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt from the training session was a blow for United, but Yoro was seen heading into the Carrington gym as we left the training centre.

The 19-year-old limped out of the defeat to West Ham on Sunday with a foot injury and has to now be considered a doubt to make the final next week.

But the fact he was at the training ground and doing work in the gym is encouraging and raises the possibility that, with a week to go, he could yet win a fitness battle to feature in Bilbao.
