The six-year-old has run some decent races, finishing second at Haydock Park and third in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle last summer, before disappointing slightly at Glorious Goodwood. But he grabbed an excellente success in a two-mile handicap at Ascot in October before finishing a creditable sixth at big odds in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket a week later.

He still has plenty to offer in these type of contests and warmed up with a gutsy win at Ripon on his seasonal return last month.
