Cheryl speaks in rare video as Girls Aloud stars confirm plans to pay tribute to Sarah Harding after star's death
Cheryl has taken to social media to speak in a rare video, confirming how Girls Aloud are set to remember Sarah Harding following her tragic death. Sarah tragically died last September, aged 39, after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
And her former bandmates are set to come together in her memory and take part in a Race for Life. Cheryl confirmed that she will be taking part alongside Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, and Nicola Roberts on Tuesday (June 14).
Taking to Instagram, Cheryl said in a video on her Instagram Story: "Around this time last year when Sarah was really sick, we were desperately trying to find way to help and comfort her. You feel so helpless at times like that. One of the only things she really wanted was a gala dinner.

She went on to add: "I know so many of you want to support her and we'd really love it if you could join us. Walk with us for five miles, but also don't worry if you can't join us, people are doing it virtually too. I hope to see you there."
Kimberley shared a picture to her Instagram of Sarah with the details for the race written on. She then wrote in her own Instagram post: "I have some really amazing news to share. Me and the girls have teamed up with Cancer Research UK to raise money for breast cancer research projects and one in particular that Sarah really wanted to help fund.
