Chelsea vs Plymouth: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results - FA Cup preview today

After falling to defeat in last year’s FA Cup final, Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea take on Plymouth today in their quest to go one better this season.

The Blues, soon to depart for the Club World Cup, have made at least the final of every single cup competition they’ve entered while Tuchel has been in charge and will surely fancy their chances again.

After a third-round meeting with non-league Chesterfield Town, a fourth-round game with League One outfit Plymouth offers yet another favourable step.

Currently sitting just outside the play-offs in the third tier, Chelsea go in as strong favourites.

The FA Cup game is scheduled for a 12.30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday February 5, 2022.

Stamford Bridge in London will host the match.

TV channel: The game will be broadcast on the BBC via their red button service.

Live stream: Both the BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website will offer live streams.

Live blog: You can follow all of the action with Standard Sport’s dedicated LIVE match blog. James Robson will be providing updates from the ground.

Chelsea XI: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Sarr; Mount, Kovacic, Jorginho; Ziyech, Lukaku, Hudson-Odoi.

Subs: Bettinelli, Sharman-Love, Alonso, Kenedy, Chalobah, Saul, Barkley, Havertz, Werner.

Plymouth XI: Cooper; Wilson, Scarr, Gillesphey; Edwards, Camara, Houghton, Mayor, Grant; Jephcott, Garrick.

Subs: Burton, Bolton, Broom, Hardie, Ennis, Lewis, Randell, Law, Craske.

Given Chelsea’s almost imperious form in cup competitions under Tuchel, it’s too hard to look past a home win.

Chelsea to win 3-0.

Chelsea wins: 9

Draws: 6

Plymouth wins: 2
