Former Chelsea defender John Terry has said that it is his ‘dream’ to be named as Blues boss as he attempts to kick-start his managerial career. The ex-defender is currently back at the club in an academy consultancy role having previously been named as a coach with Aston Villa.

Terry has previously never hidden his aspirations of following Frank Lampard’s lead of managing the reigning European champions. It appeared that he was previously set to go even higher as he reportedly put together a consortium after Roman Abramovich put the club up for sale.

Terry’s group has seemingly not been named as preferred bidders but that has not deterred the 41-year-old from fulfilling his managerial aspirations but did insist that the opportunity could be some time away..
