Chelsea 'target' Harry Maguire as Manchester United outcast could join Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr
Deposed Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has emerged as a potential target for Chelsea this summer due to one of their central defenders being set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury, according to reports.
The 30-year-old has had the armband at United taken off of him by manager Erik ten Hag following talks. The England central defender has said he is 'extremely disappointed' to no longer have the armband at United after Ten Hag outlined his reasons for doing so, though he has vowed to 'continue to give my all every time I wear the shirt'.
Question marks surround Maguire's future at Old Trafford even more now. They were already lingering after he dropped down the pecking order in the heart of defence under Ten Hag last season, behind the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw.

Speculation has linked Maguire with a potential move to West Ham United this summer. The defender is likely to not be short of options should he leave Old Trafford in the next month or so, as he seeks regular football in a bid to maintain his starting place in the England set-up ahead of next summer's European Championships.
Maguire has two years left to run on his United contract, which is due to expire in the summer of 2025. He is not short of suitors for his services through.
