Chelsea's next owners handed transfer headache as Real Madrid target Reece James

Chelsea star Reece James has caught the eye of Spanish giants Real Madrid and this leaves the new owners with a major to-do list upon their arrival at the club, as other players' contract situations will also need addressing.

James made his senior debut in September 2019 and has since gone on to become a key member of the squad for Thomas Tuchel. In his 33 appearances this season, the 22-year-old has contributed with six goals and seven assists.

It is said he is earning around £60,000 per week, making him one of the lowest earners in the first-team squad, alongside Mason Mount, with the pair coming through the club's youth ranks.
