Chelsea: Potter 'might consider' big decision on £22.5m star at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea manager Graham Potter could consider bringing Callum Hudson-Odoi back to Stamford Bridge in January, says journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The 21-year-old winger is currently on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, and O’Rourke thinks his impressive form there has caught Potter’s attention.
Hudson-Odoi recently hinted that Chelsea do have the option to recall him in January.
“I can’t really say [what will happen] because, at the end of the day, it’s not up to me,” he told Sky Sports when discussing the possibility of returning to Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer window.
“I can only do what I can do now for the club and push myself to the max here and give everything that I can.”
Prior to the above, German outlet Bild (via MailOnline) reported that there is a recall clause in Hudson-Odoi’s loan deal and that Chelsea are considering triggering it. The £22.5m-rated youngster has already made six appearances for Leverkusen, assisting on his debut against Freiburg.
O’Rourke does not think Hudson-Odoi’s performances will go under the radar and is refusing to rule out Potter bringing him back to west London in January.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “It will definitely be something that will make Potter sit up and take notice, Hudson-Odoi’s performances at Leverkusen. He’s performing really well.
“The only problem is, where does he see him fitting into his team at Chelsea? Could he see him fitting into a similar role? If he does, then maybe he might consider bringing him back.”

That looks to be the case, regardless of what happens in January. After his loan move to Leverkusen, Hudson-Odoi revealed that
