Chelsea ‘offered’ Sterling as England international ‘considers time at Man City over’

Manchester City have reportedly ‘offered’ Raheem Sterling to a quartet of top European clubs, including Chelsea.

Sterling enjoyed another impressive season for Pep Guardiola’s side, with 17 goals and nine assists in 47 appearances.

But City have a ludicrous wealth of options in those forward areas, with Erling Haaland the latest star name to be added to an already deadly attack.

And AS (via Sport Witness) claim Sterling ‘considers his time at Manchester City to be over’ and the club are said to be willing to sell him for less than his market value, which stands at £76.5m according to Transfermarkt.

As well as Chelsea, the report claims Sterling – whose current City deal expires in the summer of 2023 – has also been offered to Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid this summer.

The England international could be an alternative to Ousmane Dembele, who is thought to be Chelsea’s top forward target.

The Barcelona winger is out of contract in June and despite their reticence to sell him, the La Liga side have been unable to agree a new deal.

Paris Saint-Germain were also said to be in the race, but have now reportedly dropped out, leaving Chelsea to lead the charge.

Meanwhile, Ray Parlour believes Madrid should be the side to make a move for Sterling this summer.

“I can see some players thinking about trying a different league, a different culture – I wouldn’t put it past Raheem thinking about that.
