Chelsea: 'Gutted' 6'3 record-breaker now considering Stamford Bridge exit

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is ready to give serious thought to a Paris Saint-Germain transfer as his dream return to the Premier League club heads towards crisis point.

The Belgian forward was ecstatic to move back to Stamford Bridge last summer as he completed a £97.5million move from Italian champions Inter Milan and he started well with four goals from his first four outings back in a Chelsea shirt.The consistency did not continue though and Lukaku is now on 12 goals from 36 matches in all competitions for the Blues. He is no longer considered a first-choice starter and sources have indicated to GiveMeSport that he is “gutted” at how the campaign has unravelled.

Despite Chelsea currently being under strict transfer sanctions in light of their ownership troubles, Lukaku’s representatives have begun exploring options for the summer and PSG have been open about the prospect of a move.They are likely to have a space in their front line, with Kylian Mbappe set to sign for Real Madrid, and it is understood they are seriously considering the prospect of signing Lukaku.The takeover situation in West London will dictate any timeline over a potential move but Chelsea are open minded about how their front line might change ahead of next season.
