Chelsea grind down West Ham to move to the summit
Chelsea 2-0 West Ham United
Erin Cuthbert and Sam Kerr helped Chelsea to maintain their unbeaten start to the Super League campaign after beating West Ham 2-0 at Kingsmeadow to move top of the table.
After 36 minutes, the deadlock was finally broken with some great patient build-up play when Niamh Charles whipped a dangerous cross into the box and Kerr thumped a header into the bottom corner to register her first goal of the season.
In second-half stoppage-time, substitutes Jessie Fleming and Cuthbert combined well before the Scotland international slotted the ball into the far corner to secure victory as the Hammers endured their second defeat of the campaign.
