Chelsea FC vs Club America: Pre-season prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results

Chelsea begin their pre-season schedule with a game against Club America during the early hours of Sunday morning (UK time).

While the opening portion of the summer transfer window proved frustrating for supporters, Thomas Tuchel has finally welcomed Raheem Sterling into his squad and the England international could yet be joined by a number of other big names.

Last season rather fizzled out for Tuchel but the German has spoken about feeling refreshed ahead of the first season of the club’s new era.

Clearly, not too much can be taken from pre-season friendlies, but Chelsea could certainly do with displaying some of the urgency and energy that made Tuchel’s first few months in the job such a success.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

The pre-season friendly is scheduled for a 3am BST kick-off on Sunday July 17, 2022.

The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host.

TV channel and live stream: Both the 5th Stand App and Chelsea’s official website will provide live stream.

Sterling has been involved in training with his new teammates, so it seems reasonable to assume he will get a run-out in some capacity at least.

Armando Broja is also in contention after linking up with the squad in the US despite ongoing talks with West Ham over a potential move.

N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, however, have not travelled due to their Covid vaccination status.

Chelsea’s Mexican opposition are already in the swing of a domestic campaign and, though that has obvious benefits when compared to coming in relatively cold, it’s debatable how seriously they’ll take a friendly.

2-2 draw.

Chelsea wins: 1

Draws: 0

Club America wins: 0
