Cheetahs v Scarlets Live: Kick-off time and score updates from Challenge Cup clash

The Scarlets take on South African side the Cheetahs this afternoon in the second round of the European Challenge Cup.

Somewhat strangely today's clash isn't taking place in Llanelli or Bloemfontein but in Parma with the Cheetahs deciding to play all of their Challenge Cup fixtures at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi.

Dwayne Peel's side may be languishing one from bottom on the United Rugby Championship table but the Challenge Cup has provided a much-needed clean slate for the West Walians who thrashed Bayonne 39-7 in the opening round last Sunday.

But the Scarlets know a second win, especially away from home, would put them in pole position for a place in the knockout rounds.

But it won't be easy with the Cheetahs looking to prove they are good enough to join the other South African sides in the URC while they beat French club Pau away from home last weekend.

It will be a landmark occasion for Scarlets hooker Ryan Elias who is making his 150th appearance for the club while Tongan No 8 Sione Kalamafoni is putting on the red shirt for the 50th time.

With club captain Jonathan Davies rested, Wales openside Josh Macleod has been handed the captain's armband.
