Chatham Town host Cray Wanderers at the Bauvill Stadium this Saturday – Kevin Hake’s men were beaten at Canvey Island last time out in the Isthmian Premier Division
Chatham Town boss Kevin Hake is hoping a tough run of games brings out the best in his team.
Chats have struggled for consistency this season and slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Canvey Island last Saturday.

The only goal of the game at Canvey came with 19 minutes played - with Chats slipping to a 10th league defeat of the season.
Hake’s men are now 18 points adrift of the play-off places and host the team just above them in the table next, Cray Wanderers.
Chats boss Hake said: “We weren’t at our best last Saturday against a resilient Canvey team.
“It’s always a difficult place to go and you need that slice of luck in those type of games.
“We got ourselves into some lovely areas but our quality let us down.

“Sadly that’s been the case too often this season and that is why we find ourselves in the position we are in.
“We now need to focus on the small wins and put a run of games together to climb the table.
“We have our only home game this month against Cray Wanderers tomorrow (Saturday) then we go into two away games against Dover and Horsham.
“We normally perform well in the difficult games and the next three certainly fit that bill.”
Horsham currently occupy fourth spot in the Isthmian Premier Division table and Dover are second.
Just one point separates the top five in the division, with Dartford currently leading the way on goal difference.
