Chatham Town beat Welling United 3-1 on Saturday and face Isthmian Premier away games against Dulwich Hamlet and Whitehawk in their next two fixtures
Chatham Town head into the first of two crucial away fixtures tonight, determined to build on a much-needed weekend win.
Kevin Hake’s side travel to Dulwich Hamlet tonight (Tuesday) before making the trip to Whitehawk on Saturday, fresh from a 3-1 home victory over Welling United – their first win in five league matches.
With the Isthmian Premier Division play-off race tightening up, the three points at the Bauvill Stadium were a welcome lift.
“I was really pleased with the performance against Welling,” said the Chats boss.
“I thought we looked more like ourselves — disciplined, composed and clinical in the right moments.
“It wasn’t about being spectacular; it was about doing the basics properly and managing the game well, and we did that.”

Tope Fadahunsi got Chatham’s opener and although Dean Gunner leveled for relegation-threatened Welling, Hake’s side answered back.
Nile Ranger restored their lead and Reece Butler sealed the points with a third.
Hake said: “To win 3-1 against a side with their experience and physicality is a good result for us.
“We showed control when we needed to and maturity in key moments, which is something we’ve been speaking about.
“It was a positive step forward and a good response.
“That said, there’s no time to get carried away.
“We’ve got two tough away games coming up, starting with Dulwich tonight and then Whitehawk on Saturday. Both are difficult places to go, and both sides will have their own objectives at this stage of the season.
“Away games at this point in the campaign are about discipline, concentration and managing moments properly.
“We’ll need to be at our best again, but the belief inside the dressing room is strong and we’re looking forward to
