Charlotte Bankes of Great Britain clinches overall snowboard World Cup victory at Mount St Anne in Canada

Great Britain's Charlotte Bankes clinched Crystal Globe glory in her final race of the World Cup season in Mount St Anne. Bankes rattled through the snowboard cross heats in Canada but was edged out of the big final by Austria's Pia Zerkhold, taking victory in the small final instead. Ad The 27-year-old has notched six golds and one bronze in a stunning World Cup season that saw her race to a total of 723 points and her second Crystal Globe.

Braff was the last individual winner of the season as she stormed to big final victory in Canada, recovering from a close shave in her quarter-final to go all the way. In the men's event Germany's Martin Noerl clinched the Crystal Globe with a final hoorah in Mount St Anne.

The 29-year-old took a final victory on the slopes as he cemented his position on the top of the World Cup standings with 510 points. Noerl has been on five podiums this year, three gold, one silver and one bronze as he fought his way to the title. Spain's Lucas Eguibar took overall World Cup silver whilst Canada's Eliot Grondin bagged overall bronze on home soil in Canada.
