Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal make admission that Manchester United fans will love

Manchester United starlets Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal have charted their simultaneous rise to the first-team periphery and admit there is no stopping yet if they are to fulfil their ambitions.

Savage and Iqbal - who are both 19 and progressed through the famed Old Trafford academy - were introduced to the first team last season and made their debuts as substitutes against Young Boys in the Champions League group stage under former interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

It was a minute they will never forget and their continued development saw them included on the club's summer tour to Thailand and Australia. That resulted in further game-time and their humble take on being welcomed into a glittering and star-studded environment will, naturally, be warmly received by dedicated United supporters.

During a lengthy interview with MUFC media, Iqbal said: "All the team welcome you in and make you comfortable. We could go on with names, but I would be naming loads of people because they all look after you.

"They try and make you feel part of it straight away. I think Charlie would agree, we have no way near made it yet. We have been on pre-season with United and it was massive to make my international debut. It was also amazing to play in the Champions League, but I want to say that there will be more to come.

"We are still young lads and hopefully we can have bright futures. As long as we stay [with] our feet on the ground and keep working hard, I don't see why we won't get where we want to be."
