Charlie Adam makes Rangers and Dave King prediction as Green Brigade example proves fan fury can subside

Former Rangers star Charlie Adam has stated Rangers' involvement in the Sydney Super Cup will see the club reap several long term benefits.

And he insists the current furore won't last forever - citing the Green Brigade as an example after their early season fury over former police chief Bernard Higgins' potential appointment subsided.

Dundee captain Adam also drew comparisons to English rivals Manchester United and Liverpool's involvement in off-season overseas tournaments.

Sections of the Ibrox faithful have protested in recent matches with tennis balls and other objects causing delays in the match against Dundee on Sunday.

The heat was turned up further when fan group Club 1872 fired their own statement on the situation on Tuesday before Rangers responded in turn.
