Charging bulls: Three drivers who changed Red Bull's Formula 1 stay forever

The Red Bull Formula 1 team hinges on 20 years in the sport, with the late Dietrich Mateschitz buying Jaguar (under Ford ownership) in 2004 and rebranding it Red Bull Racing.

In 2005, the team lined up for its first race, with the first championship coming in 2010.

But over the years, Red Bull has seen many drivers coming through the fold, with a select few lifting the team to newer heights. Bar the reserve drivers, 10 drivers have sat in the Red Bull cockpit between 2005 and now, with the latest pairing being the strongest in the team's history.

Of these 10 drivers, only three have made an undeniable impression - not only on the sport, but the team and how it is perceived in the public eye.

David Coulthard: 2005-2009

David Coulthard joined Red Bull Racing in 2005 from McLaren. The Brit has been a constant in the points and gave racers like Michael Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen a good run for their money. But in 2005, he rolled the dice and joined the energy drink company's team.

In his first two years, he was partnered by Christian Klien, with Mark Webber coming on board for DC's final two seasons in the sport.

Unfortunately for Coulthard, he never could add to his 13 F1 wins after joining Red Bull, but he secured two third-place finishes in 2006 and '08 each.

Though the numbers may not suggest it, Coulthard was instrumental in putting Red Bull on the map, and the group retained his services as ambassador.

Sebastian Vettel: 2009-2014

Hot off his win at a soaking 2008 Italian Grand Prix in a Toro Rosso (now AlphaTauri), Red Bull pulled the trigger on Sebastian Vettel and promoted him to Red Bull for 2009. It paid off because Vettel secured four wins in his first season for the Austrian team.
