Channel 4 Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2023: When it is on and line-up on panel

The popular comedy panel game show in the style of a pub quiz is back in time to round off the Christmas festivities.

In the usual style of the Channel 4 yearly show, teams of comedians will be asked questions about the year gone by in various categories.

They will write their answers on an electronic board in front of them and at the end of each round the answers are displayed and points awarded. Once again Big Fat Quiz will be hosted by TV funny man Jimmy Carr.

The Big Fat Quiz of the Year is now an annual festive tradition and has been broadcast each year since 2004. There have also been a number of spin-off shows on subjects such as television - and even everything.

Stand-up comedian Jimmy Carr has been the host and quizmaster of each edition to date. Here is all you need to know about 2023's bumper episode:

The show has secured its usual Boxing Day slot (Tuesday, December 26), starting at 9pm on Channel 4. Channel 4 has made full episodes of The Big Fat Quiz of the Year available to view on All 4.
