Chandler KOs Ferguson, McCann KOs Carolina: UFC's best knockouts of 2022 so far

It has been a big year in UFC so far.

With things returning to normality following the COVID-19 pandemic, fighters are looking to improve their records and do so inside packed out arenas once more.

With fans pack in their thousands, it’s safe to say the action has ramped up a notch, with plenty of show-stopping finishes happening already in 2022.

Due to the amount of impressive finishes so far this season, in just five months, the UFC have released a seven-and-a-half-minute compilation video on their YouTube channel, highlighting their favourites from the year so far.

Here, however, we are going to focus on the three we have picked out as our favourite from the year so far.

To begin with, we go back to February, where Johnny Walker faced up against Jamahal Hill in Nevada.

Hill claimed a devastating first-round knockout with a stunning right hand to the temple of Walker’s head.

Hill secured victory in just under three minutes, and this would prove to be the catalyst for more knockouts this year.

Next up, at UFC 274, we saw Michael Chandler defeat Tony Ferguson with a superb front kick knockout 17 seconds into the second round.

The right foot of Chandler clattered Ferguson in the face and knocked him to the ground in devastating fashion.

Finally, we look at a fight on the undercard from Tom Aspinall and Alexander Volkov.

Molly McCann took on Luana Carolina in London, and it was McCann who claimed victory in the third round.

An incredible spinning back elbow which smacked Carolina in the face was enough to stop the fight with the crowd at the O2 Arena looking on in awe.
