Championship wrap: Callum Robinson finds the net as Cardiff rout Huddersfield

Callum Robinson opened the scoring for Cardiff City as the Bluebirds came away from Huddersfield Town with a 4-0 win on Tuesday night.

Just over a week after scoring the final goal in a 4-0 victory for Ireland over Gibraltar, Robinson netted the first as Cardiff won by the same scoreline at the John Smith's Stadium.

Robinson's goal came as early as the second minute, when his backheel went in via a deflection off Matty Pearson, before Dimitrios Gutros, Yakou Meite and Perry Ng added their own goals later on to give the visitors an emphatic victory.

Elsewhere, Shane Duffy played 90 minutes as Norwich City lost 2-1 at home to Middlesbrough, a result that extends the Canaries' winless run to four games.

Sam Greenwood opened the scoring in the first minute of the second half and substitute Sammy Silvera had a second in stoppage time, albeit with enough time remaining for Jonathan Rowe to pull one back for the hosts.

Meanwhile, there is some concern for Ireland under-21 skipper Andrew Moran, who limped out of Blackburn's 2-1 win at Millwall just forty minutes after he came off the bench himself.

Millwall had led when Wes Harding headed home just three minutes in. Blackburn levelled it in the 22nd minute as Joe Rankin-Costello's shot squirmed under Bartosz Bialkowski.

Callum Brittain then got what proved to be the winner six minutes into the second half after being played into space by James Hill, bending a shot into the top corner.

Another Irish player who didn't finish a game was Jimmy Dunne, as the Dundalk native was shown a red card an hour into a 2-0 defeat for Queens Park Rangers at West Bromwich Albion. Brandon Thomas-Asante slotted home a 59th minute penalty for the winners, Grady Diangana sealing the victory late on.
