Championship wrap: Aaron Connolly and Andrew Moran on target, as Leeds hammer Cardiff

Aaron Connolly scored his first goal for Millwall in the opening minute of their 2-1 home win over QPR.

The Republic of Ireland striker, who joined from Sunderland during the transfer window, side-footed the hosts in front after just 29 seconds, cooly steering home from the back post after Tristan Crama's low cross had missed out Mihailo Ivanovic.

In a frantic opening, QPR equalised within minutes through Alfie Lloyd but Luke Cundle nodded home the eventual winner for Millwall shortly before the half hour mark as they secured their third successive league win.

At the MKM Stadium, Andrew Moran's second-half goal earned Stoke an important 2-1 win at fellow strugglers Hull.

Moran controlled and smartly followed up Lewis Koumas’ misdirected 74th-minute effort on goal to give Mark Robins a first league win since joining the Potters in January.

Eliot Matazo opened the scoring on his first start for the hosts but his sixth-minute strike was cancelled out by debutant Ali Al-Hamadi just before half-time.

Ireland midfielder Jayson Molumby also found the net for West Brom but in a losing cause as his side suffered a 2-1 reversal at Plymouth Argyle.

Championship leaders Leeds hit Cardiff for seven without reply to strengthen their position at the top of the table.

Brenden Aaronson put them ahead six minutes in with Manor Solomon, Dan James, Joel Piroe (two, one pen), Wilfried Gnonto and Mateo Joseph adding to a 13th home win of the campaign for Daniel Farke's men.

Sheffield United remain two points behind after Ben Brereton Diaz got them a 1-0 win at Derby, with Tom Cannon laying on the assist.

Burnley, however, blinked in the automatic promotion race as they drew 0-0 at Portsmouth.

Josh Sargent scored the winner for Norwich as they were 1-0
