Champions League and UEFA rules which could impact further Manchester United signings

Manchester United are pressing ahead with revised plans to add to their squad this summer.

Erik ten Hag and key figures behind the scenes at Old Trafford moved quickly to sign Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund for a combined £180million-plus. However, injuries to Luke Shaw and Mount have sparked up proposed swoops for a left-back and another central midfielder.

On the left-back situation, that's expected to be a short-term solution while the club also continue to monitor Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich and Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat as two viable options for their engine room. Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has also undergone an intitial medical assessment ahead of a proposed move to United.
