Champions Cup set for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2024

The EPCR have confirmed that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host the Champions and Challenge Cup finals in 2024, four years after it was originally meant to stage the finals.

European rugby's governing body say the Champions Cup final next season will take place on Saturday 25 May, with the Challenge Cup to take place the night before on Friday 24 May.

The London ground had previously been announced as the venue for the showpiece event for 2020, and again in 2021, but on each occasion it was forced to postpone the finals due to Covid-19.

The late finish of this season's Premier League ruled it out of contention to host the decider this year, with Dublin's Aviva Stadium the venue for next month's finals.

"We are absolutely delighted to announce that our 2024 Finals Weekend will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium," said EPCR Cairman Dominic McKay.

"It is quite simply one of the most exciting venues in the world and an incredibly appropriate stage for next year's showpiece Finals Weekend. We know clubs, fans, broadcasters, partners and all involved will thoroughly enjoy the world-class experience."

The 62,850 home of Spurs has hosted several rugby games since opening in 2019, with Saracens staging two home games in the north London venue, while it's also held the meeting of the Barbarians and an All Blacks XV , as well as 2022 Rugby League Challenge Cup Final.
