Cesaro: The Best moments from departed WWE star's career

According to overnight reports, Cesaro has left WWE after failing to agree new terms on a new contract.

The Swiss’ Superman has endured a stop-start career in WWE, with many fans believing he’s been one of the most underutilized talents on the roster. However, the 41-year-old has still chalked up multiple title reigns across the tag team and Intercontinental/US Title divisions and given fans a host of memorable moments in his eleven years on the roster – and more entrance themes then possible any Superstar has ever had. 

GiveMeSport looks back at some of his best bits as we say farewell to the Ceasro section of the WWE Universe. 

Giant win

Cesaro had already tasted title success as United States Champion and a tag team run with Jack Swagger as part of The Real Americans when he appeared in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX. The night had already seen Cesaro sever ties with his tag team partner in the fallout to the pre-show’s Fatal-Four-Way tag match, and the Swiss star already had eyes on singles stardom. That stardom was instant, as Cesaro body slammed Big Show – in a manner not too dissimilar from Hulk Hogan’s famous body slam of Andre The Giant at WrestleMania III – out of the match to win the battle royal and become the first-ever victor of the annual event. Unfortunately, the springboard to that victory and the subsequent pairing with Paul Heyman the following night on Raw, never really materialised and has given the win less substance over the years. 

Tagging with Tyson

Ironically Cesaro’s first-ever match in WWE came against Tyson Kidd on an episode of SmackDown in a nice piece of symmetry for the future. With his singles career on the downward turn once again, Cesaro headed back in
