Scott Hall: The best moments from the career of The Bad Guy

This past weekend we learned the sad news of Scott Hall’s triple heart attack that has left the WWE Hall of Famer on a life support machine. 

Scott made his name wrestling under the guise of ‘Razor Ramon’ in WWE during the mid-nineties, before jumping ship to WCW in one the most iconic scenes of the decade. Combing with Kevin Nash and eventually Hulk Hogan to form the nWo and become one the most legendary names of the era.

Say Hello to The Bad Guy

Introduction vignettes were commonplace in the 1990s, as a tool WWE used to use upon an impending debut of a new talent, yet there something even more intriguing about the first glimpse of Razor Ramon. Taking the essence from his ‘Diamond Stud’ persona used in WCW, the vignette’s portrayed Hall as a Cuban-American Lothario, with gangster like traits in the mould of Tony Montana from Scarface. Combining his slick locks and stubble, with signature toothpicks and chains, Razor Ramon oozed cool and ‘machismo’ and didn’t take long for him to make his mark in WWE. Making his in-person debut in August 1992 and soon entering a feud with Macho Man Randy Savage, that culminated in Survivor Series main event just months after his arrival. The WWE had very much said hello to ‘The Bad Guy’ and he quickly became a focal point of programming. 

Job done

Razor became a big part of Monday Night Raw in its early run and was positioned as one of the top heels in the company at the time.
