Celtic 'reject' Ligue 1 club's £3.5m offer for defender

Celtic are believed to have rejected a £3.5m offer from Ligue 1 club Toulouse for defender Stephen Welsh.

The Coatbridge defender was the subject of an offer for a season-long loan at Toulouse, with an option to buy for £3.5million plus add-ons.

However, the Parkhead club see 22-year-old Welsh as very much part of their plans, having played a key role in their Premiership title success last season.
