Celtic heroes react to Rangers victory as former star quips 'that will be the Ibrox allocation scrapped'

It's been a massive day in Glasgow for Celtic, their fans and former stars as they triumphed against Rangers in a potentially season defining encounter.

Goals from Tom Rogic and Cameron Carter-Vickers cancelled out Aaron Ramsey's early opener and spearheaded the Parkhead club to a six point Premiership advantage.

The result has seen players form the clubs past weigh in as Ange Postecoglou's side edge closer to title glory.

It was the first time away fans had been allowed inside the stadium for an Old Firm clash since the Covid pandemic hit with 700 coming through the turnstiles.

Former Celtic youngster Calvin Miller has laid into Rangers and their away allocation after Celtic's enthralling derby day victory.

Just 700 Celtic fans were in attendance at Ibrox, in comparison to 7000 in years gone by.

And Miller, who now plays for non-league side Chesterfield, couldn't help but have a dig at his boyhood rivals.

He tweeted: "That’ll be the away allocation scrapped again" with two laughing emojis.

Which was followed by the words, "Glasgow is green".

While Celtic hero turned pundit Chris Sutton was quick to praise several players in green and white hoops but isn't getting too ahead of himself.

Sutton wrote: "Nothing won yet. Daizen Maeda is a one man closing down machine. Rogic really is a magician. Carter Vickers and Starfelt immense."
