Celtic hero spots 2 glaring problems facing Brendan Rodgers but there's only one solution fans won't want to hear

Joe Ledley reckons Celtic just need to keep calm and carry on - because their two main problems will sort themselves out eventually.

The Hoops have surrendered a seven-point lead over Rangers and now face a battle on their hands to retain the crown, having looked as good as champions elect just a few months ago when Michael Beale was given his jotters. Brendan Rodgers' second spell hasn't gone to plan thus far and fans have grown frustrated at a poor transfer record and lack of investment from the board.

But Ledley believes some of the new players who haven't yet got going, like Maik Nawrocki and more recently Nicolas Kuhn, will get there eventually...once they've had a chance to get up to speed. And having experienced heads like Callum McGregor and James Forrest, who have been there and done it all, can only help.

The former Parkhead midfielder said: “A lot of the players in the dressing room have got plenty of experience. They’ve been winning titles and cups in recent years. They are well aware of the pressure of playing for Celtic and what the fans expect. But there are a number of new players who now need to properly understand the position the team is in.

“It looks like some are still trying to adapt. But everyone in the dressing room has to get together now and work out the situation to discover why things haven’t been working out.

“You’ve got to keep calm. I well know the environment up the road and I’ve seen both sides of it. We lost the league in my first season when we probably should have won it. That truly opened my eyes to the emotions of people there when things don’t go well.
