It's only two games into a new Premiership season and already the football is taking a backseat with a Hotline of condemnation over fan behaviour.

Hibs have announced an investigation after Hearts Alex Cochrane appeared to be struck by a cigarette lighter during Sunday's Easter Road and several home fans invaded the pitch after Martin Boyle's stoppage-time equaliser. Alan Mackie, Bellshill , said: "Once again the response from Hibs on the appalling behaviour of their fans is absolutely disgraceful. Describing the missile throwing as "passion" is right out of the "boisterous fun" playbook. If a player sustains an injury or loses an eye will they still come away with this utter nonsense?"

William Hutchison, Aberdeen, said: "After seeing the shocking scenes at Easter Road on Sunday, it might help to stop the fans from every club from throwing things onto the pitch and at players if the SFA fined the clubs. The offending fans should be banned and clubs should be forced to play five games behind closed doors and 10 points deducted. That would show that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated."

Gerry Murphy, Giffnock, said: "I had to laugh at Robbie Neilson having a go at Hibs fans for throwing missiles at the derby game, " Hearts fans do it all the time to Celtic players at the corner flag, one of them assaulted Neil Lennon but nothing was done about that."
