Celtic fanatics cough up the truth in Hotline confessional but Rangers diehards demand ringleader is banned

Celtic and Rangers both had to survive some nervy moments on sweaty Sunday in the Premiership.

But it seems both sets of supporters seem less than impressed with their sides after narrow wins against Dundee and St Mirren. Robert Livingston emailed: “Let's face it, this is a poor Celtic team but Rangers haven’t taken advantage. Sunday was not great, but a win is all that mattered. The side has lost its way after some good performances under Philippe Clement. Yes, Cyriel Dessers has come good in the last few games scoring goals but it's all the ones he's missed the main reason they're not top.”

Jimmy Murray, Edinburgh, said: “Rodgers and serial hangers on Gavin Strachan and John Kennedy should be emptied. What goes on at training is beyond me. They can’t defend a ball into the box. Its total panic at the back. And this 40 to 50 passes to get from the penalty box to the centre circle is comical.”

Donald Dundas, Uddingston, said: “How refreshing to read honest comments regarding Celtic from callers Kenny Wilson and David Bryce. They are unlike the other usual suspects, who turn to slating Rangers when things are in the sticky stuff at Paradise. The way both Celtic and Rangers played on Sunday, fans of both clubs will be stocking up on the pampers for the run in.”

Meanwhile, Stephen Johnstone Ardentinny, said: “Stephen Robinson brought in his mother in-law to help with his St Mirren players motivation. He should have put her on as a sub as it was the only way he was going to beat Rangers.”

There’s always a bit of needle on the Hotline and Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: “Gordon Ashley was called a Hotline regular yesterday. He went into hiding for a year after claiming that Aiden McGeady would be Hibs best ever signing.
