Celtic confidence explodes as Hotline told where Rodgers will put Clement when title race is won

Rangers players might fancy swapping boots for flippers ahead of tomorrow’s game at rain soaked Dens Park. But it’s the diving storm surrounding Fabio Silva after Sunday’s Old Firm clash that continues to swamp the Hotline.

Celtic have written to the SFA seeking clarification over the penalty award that started Rangers’ fightback and predictably the calls and emails came flooding in. Dr Robert Pender took the plunge when he wrote: “At it again trying to control and influence the SFA. They remind me of the man saved from drowning who complained the water was wet.” George McLeish emailed: “Instead of Mr Perfect Rodgers complaining about Silva diving, he wants to take a good look at his own lot and the numerous fouls Maeda got away with. What about Scales’ two-footed studs up tackle on Scott Wright? It must be lovely to have a team of choir boys and a manager who never complains.”

Paul Jenkins, Falkirk, said: “It’s laughable the amount of Celtic fans that said Johnston kicking Silva on the knee isn’t a penalty, but then this is the same player that played volleyball in the penalty box in last Old Firm and no penalty was given so maybe they think he’s immune from conceding penalties.”

Andy Lanigan, Glasgow, claimed: “Silva would have got to the ball after being tackled but for Johnston's foul and let's look at a staggering 23 fouls committed by Celtic, which should have resulted in at least two players being red carded.
