Celtic are back in the big time of the Champions League and some glamour destinations await excited punters.

Last year's competition saw a return to group stage football for the first time in five years, with big showdowns against then champions Real Madrid providing the backdrop for scintillating European nights in Glasgow and abroad. And while Brendan Rodgers will hope to sprinkle the magic dust over Parkhead again this time around, the Irishman wants to make a serious go of it and put progression to the knockouts at the forefront of his squad's mind. The glamour adventure will come against Atletico Madrid as another visit to the Spanish capital is on the offing for tapas and good times.

Dutch champions Feyenoord, who were in Pot 1, will provide a tough test while Lazio are a team Celtic know all too well after Neil Lennon's side produced two stunning results against the Italians in Europa League competition in 2019.

A familiar sight for Celtic fans is the Spanish capital and all the delights that it has to offer. It's not the trickiest place to get to either with Edinburgh Airport flying direct to Madrid, with current October prices coming in between £187 and £225 max for a Tuesday to Thursday trip. For Glasgow travellers, a stop off is available in Bristol or Gatwick bound for Madrid, with prices sitting at around £178.
