Celtic ballboys go viral after 3-0 win vs Rangers
Celtic climbed above fierce rivals Rangers to the top of the Scottish Premiership table after sealing a 3-0 Old Firm victory on Wednesday night.
Reo Hatate netted a first-half brace while Liel Abada also got himself on the scoresheet as Ange Postecoglou’s men blitzed their Glasgow rivals inside the opening 45 minutes at Parkhead.
No further goals were scored in the second half as Celtic took their foot off the gas but this was a huge result for the Bhoys, who now sit one point above Rangers after 24 rounds of fixtures.
“Our first 45 mins were outstanding; three great goals, our football was pretty special, and their keeper pulled off some great saves,” Postecoglou said, per BBC Sport, after the match. “Considering the context of the game, I thought our football was outstanding.
“Second-half, we had to defend a bit more but we’ve been a team that can do that. It shows another layer. We knew the consequences, what it meant to our supporters, and we stood up.”
Everybody associated with Celtic Football Club was, as you can probably imagine, absolutely loving what they were witnessing at Parkhead – including the ballboys.
In fact, the Celtic ballboys were in full s**thouse mode and made Rangers’ goalkeeper Allan McGregor’s night even more of a nightmare.
They were spotted giving McGregor plenty of stick when Hatate’s first goal went in:
