Celtic are gone after 60 minutes in every game and Rangers will expose crippling flaw - Hotline

New arrival Amad Diallo has signed up to become the latest loan Ranger - but it’s the Hotline going Tonto over the Manchester United ace’s Ibrox move.

While the blue half of Glasgow are getting excited about the signing of a player who could eventually end up costing the Red Devils a hefty fee just shy of £40million, the Hoops faithful are questioning why their bitter rivals are looking for a quick fix loan.

First up to start the squabbling off was Gavin MacLeod, Renfrew, who said: “This lad is just what we need after losing Ianis Hagi.

“He hasn’t played much at Old Trafford but by all accounts is rated extremely highly, which is backed up by the price tag it cost them when he moved from Atalanta.

“If he can show any of that potential at Ibrox I can’t see us being caught in the chase for 56.”

Frank McFerran, Carrickfergus, added: “As a Rangers fan I can see we need to freshen up the team and I hope Diallo is the player to do that. He hasn’t broken much ice at Manchester United and is very inexperienced at 19 years old. But for United to pay £20 million plus, the boy must have it.”

But Hoops fan John Robertson asked: “Why are Rangers going in for loan signings when they got £12million for Nathan Patterson - or was this a white lie to the supporters again?”
