Celtic and Rangers Sydney Super Cup ticket prices revealed as Australian fans treated to derby discount

The ticket prices for the controversial Rangers and Celtic friendly clash in Australia have been rubber stamped - with ticket prices slashed for the overseas showdown.

The Sydney Super Cup has been met with huge backlash from fans in Scotland, with both the Green Brigade and Union Bears among other supporters' groups protesting the friendly clash.

Both Celtic and Ranges fans have urged the clubs to reconsider the move to play the game outside of Scotland for the first time.

Despite the anger Australian football chiefs have insisted the game is likely to sell out the massive Accor Stadium in November.

Celtic have revealed the pricing structure for their two games at the Sydney Football Stadium, against local side Sydney FC, and the bumper 83,500 seater stadium on derby day.

Tickets will start at $39 Australian Dollars, which converts as around £21 for fans to see the first Old Firm clash on tour.

The pricing for each match depends on the location within the stadium with a split between both sets of fans.

That marks a massive come down from what supporters of both clubs pay to soak in the atmosphere at either Ibrox or Celtic Park when the rivals collide.

Both Rangers and Celtic charged around £50 per person for their showpiece game with fans clamouring for tickets in the midst of a heated Premiership title race.
