But there is plenty more high-class racing on offer over the three-day event with new fans’ favourite and star of Cheltenham, Constitution Hill, going in the Grade One Aintree Hurdle on day one. The main rivals for this one will be Epatante (8/1) and Zanahyir (10/1), both of whom can be expected to put up a credible challenge despite underwhelming Cheltenham performances.

Also on day one, another Henderson favourite, Shishkin (11/4), will go up against Gold Cup stars Bravemansgame (11/4), Conflated (7/2) Ahoy Senor (3/1) and A Plus Tard (7/2) in the Aintree Bowl (14:50), which has already been dubbed a potential 'race of the year'.
