CCTV released after man targeted in alleged racist hate crime at petrol station

Detectives have released images of three men who could be key witnesses to an alleged racist incident near Greater Manchester. Police say a man in his 30s reported being racially abused by a man outside the service station on Brookfield, Glossop, close to the border with Tameside.

Officers from Derbyshire Police were called out to the incident just after 3.50pm on Friday, April 14. The force is continuing to investigate the incident as a hate crime.

Derbyshire Police has today (May 18) released CCTV images of three men who 'may have important information' about it. A spokesperson for the force added: "We are now looking for three men seen in the area around the time of the incident and are appealing for them to come forward as they might have important information which could help with the investigation.

"The three men were in a grey Audi Q7." Anyone who recognises the people in the images, or has information on the incident, is being urged to come forward.

Information can be reported to Derbyshire Police by calling 101, contacting the force online or sending a message on Facebook or Twitter, quoting reference number 23*224188. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or visit the independent charity's website.
