CCTV issued after Baileys worth £324 stolen from town centre shop

Officers have released a CCTV image after £324-worth of Baileys was stolen in an affluent Cheshire town. Police say an unknown man entered a shop on Princess Street, in Knutsford town centre.

He then reportedly left the convenience store with several bottles of Baileys, worth £324 in total, without paying. Cheshire Police has issued an appeal this morning (December 18) as it continues its investigation.

The shoplifting reportedly took place at around 3.30pm on Friday, November 22. A CCTV image has been released showing a man officers wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to come forward. Police Constable John Milman, of Cheshire Police's Macclesfield Neighbourhood Team, said: “Enquiries are currently ongoing and as part of our investigation, we would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV images.

“If anyone recognises him, please contact us via the website or call 101, quoting 24000989483. I would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to come forward.”
