CCTV image released as police investigate 'serious sexual assault' on rail replacement bus
British Transport Police have issued a CCTV image after a 'serious sexual assault' on a late-night rail replacement bus out of Manchester city centre.
Investigating officers issued an appeal for information and said they believe the man in the image may have information which could help.
Details are scarce, but BTP said the victim was travelling on a rail replacement bus from Manchester Oxford Road railway station heading to Liverpool Lime Street station when she was sexually assaulted on board.

It happened 'sometime between 11.30pm on Monday, August 15 and 1.30am on Tuesday, August 16', added a BTP spokesperson.
No further details have been revealed but the attacker left the bus at Warrington West station.
In a statement, British Transport Police said: "Officers investigating a serious sexual assault have released an image in connection.
"Sometime between 11.30pm on Monday, August 15 and 1.30am on Tuesday, August 16, the victim was travelling on a rail replacement bus from Manchester Oxford Road station heading to Liverpool Lime Street station when she was sexually assaulted.
"The man left the bus at Warrington West station.
"Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help their investigation.
