CCTV image released after phone stolen in 'tailgate' burglary at home
A CCTV image has been released after a burglar followed a resident into their home and stole a mobile phone.
It happened last month in the Victoria Park area of Manchester, near Longsight, but details have only just been confirmed by Greater Manchester Police.
Investigators are now appealing to anyone who recognises the man in the image to come forward. There are no reports of any injuries.

In a statement, GMP said: "On Saturday 14 September we were called to Daisy Bank Road, Manchester, to reports of a burglary. It’s believed that a man tailgated another resident into the property and has taken a mobile phone.
"Police are following several lines of enquiry and have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to as he could assist the investigation. If you have any information or can identify the man pictured, please call police on 101 quoting log 987 of 15/09/2024. Alternatively, if you would prefer to remain anonymous, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
No further information has been revealed.
