CCTV image issued after rail passenger with hearing aid punched in head by stranger in station toilets
Detectives are investigating after a rail passenger's hearing aid was knocked out when they were punched in the head by a stranger at a train station.
It happened at Wigan North Western station shortly after 7pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 8.
The victim was punched in the side of the head in the men's toilets at the station, Brtish Transport Police (BTP) said. In a statement, they said the blow caused their hearing aid to become dislodged.

BTP have now issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to regarding the incident. Officers 'believe the person in the image may have information that could help their investigation' they said.
Anyone who recognises him or has any other information about' the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 615 of 08/05/23. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
