Castleford Tigers forward hospitalised after freak accident
Castleford Tigers forward Alex Sutcliffe went to hospital after suffering a throat injury during the club's defeat to Warrington Wolves.
The former Leeds Rhinos forward started the game but had come off by the time the second-half started.
Afterwards, head coach Lee Radford confirmed that the 23-year-old had been forced to go to hospital as a result of the injury, adding that 'it didn't look great' for the youngster.
Kenny Edwards was also forced off with a calf injury as the Tigers suffered their second straight loss at the start of the season.
After the defeat, Radford added: "I've not missed this feeling, I'm not going to lie to you, it's a horrible, horrible feeling.
"Today was a response I thought, we were flat last week but I thought we got a response today early on. Unfortunately, the game didn't quite pan out as we wanted to and we didn't get the result.
"If we continue to turn up with that sort of energy and attitude, we will win more than we lose.
