Cars erupt into flames before fire spreads to nearby house

Two cars erupted into flames before the fire spread to a nearby house in Rochdale. Police and fire crews were called to the blaze on Clover Hall Crescent, in Belfield, at around 3am on Monday (September 23).

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, but investigations into the incident are being led by Greater Manchester Police.

Pictures and video footage from the scene showed a heavy emergency service response, as the residential street was cordoned off overnight.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reels to extinguish the fire and worked alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Police in making the surrounding area safe. Crews were in attendance for around one hour and 40 minutes.”
