Carragher claims Klopp made ‘mistake’ ahead of City-Liverpool clash
Jamie Carragher thinks Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp made a “mistake” by starting Mo Salah in their victory over Benfica in midweek.
The 29-year-old was part of the Egypt side which lost to Senegal on penalties in the Africa Cup of Nations final in February and the one which lost to Senegal on penalties again last month in a crucial World Cup qualifier.
Salah has struggled to hit top form since he contributed a brace and an assist in a 6-0 thrashing of Leeds United on February 23.

Carragher said on Sky Sports: “It’s not just the goals with Mo Salah, he’s had chances, he always will get chances, but his actual general play has been really poor, it has been over the last four to six weeks since those tournaments [AFCON].
