Carolina Panthers: Insider drops big claim on Christian McCaffrey and other stars

Carolina Panthers star Christian McCaffrey, along with other stars, could be on their way out of the team following the firing of Matt Rhule. 

Christian McCaffrey, the 26-year-old, 2017 first-round draft pick by the Carolina Panthers is certainly one of the more unique talents in the league. Despite being a running back, with the NFL becoming more pass-oriented in recent seasons, being good at catching the ball out of the backfield and out wide is becoming more and more important for the position.

But there is arguably nobody that does it better than who became only the third player in NFL history to have both 1,000 yards rushing and receiving in the same campaign in 2019, which has helped put his overall career numbers at 3,911 yards rushing along with 32 touchdowns, whilst also having 3,203 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns through the air, becoming one of the best dual-threat running backs out there, even more impressive when you consider how many injuries he’s picked up throughout his career.

However, for all the good that McCaffrey brings to the side, the team that is around him is far from perfect, as this graphic shows:

And that is why the Panthers yesterday decided that it was time for them to part ways with head coach Matt Rhule, who had racked up an 11-27 record whilst at Bank of America Stadium since his appointment in 2020.
