Lucky break for Panthers, Steelers still alive?: Five things from Week 6 in the NFL

Week 6 of the NFL season is in the books, and just like every other week in the NFL, there are plenty of talking points that need to be addressed. 

It is usually at this stage of the season that the NFL starts to take some sort of shape, as we begin to see which teams are looking like they are going to be in the playoffs, which ones are going to be fighting it out for the #1 overall draft pick, and which players look like they’re set for breakout years.

However, after the events of this past week, it feels as if the NFL is more open than ever. In 5 of the eight divisions for instance, the division leaders and the team at the bottom are separated by just two games (so 3 wins v 1 win, 5 wins v 3 wins, etc.), and of the teams that featured in our top ten power rankings last week, six of them lost this past weekend.

So you can never really take your eyes of what is happening in the National Football League, but seeing as there is so much to talk about, every week we break it down into just five of what we think are the biggest talking points that come out of every NFL Sunday, and what impact they might look to have on the grand picture moving forward.

Thankfully this week gave us no shortage of talking points, so let’s get into it:

We all say Robbie Anderson’s meltdown on Sunday, and this had the potential to be a very big problem for them moving forward if they didn’t find him a trade partner pretty sharpish. Thankfully they got bailed out by the Arizona Cardinals having to find a replacement for Marquise Brown who suffered an injury that looks set to keep him out for some time.   

They really need to thank their lucky stars that this happened when it did, as it gives them the chance to start their rebuild under interim
